Subject: Traveling the Malaysia
Hello Everyone!!
This week was such a special week! I was able to go East Malaysia and do exchanges with some of the Missionaries there and it was seriously so much fun!
I think my favorite part about going out with all of these missionaries is really just getting to know them and being able to see the things they are doing in their area. I like how my mission president is always saying that we need to always focus on the worker instead of the work, then the work will happen! Something really big that I learned this week is the best way to help someone grow and be better is to work with them. It's also been good because it has really helped me work out what I want to do after my mission.
Here are some pictures from traveling around.
One of the people that we met was seriously so specially. I was teaching him a lot in Kuching and we were able to help him overcome a lot of trials and be changed through the gospel. The sad thing is, when I left he stopped learning and a lot of challenges started to come into his life. I won't share specifics but he went through a lot of challenges. Then, Elder Peterson and I went to visit as I was traveling and we had such a spiritual lesson with him. He expressed how when we were meeting, his life was changing and he was so excited to follow the gospel and be baptized. But as soon as I left, life really started to hit and he lost that motivation. But then he ended up saying "Elder, going through all these challenges recently has really made me miss the gospel, and I want to get back into it. I need it. " It was so special. I'm so excited for him.
Beside that everything is safe here in Singapore! Don't even worry. In fact, we are preparing to help some people get baptized here soon! I love this work. It's amazing to see change in yourself and help others change as well.
