Subject: Its a Monsoon season!
Hello Friends and Family!!!
I think I'm just going to jump right in today!! In Malaysia it is now Monsoon season. It's actually so crazy how much rain there actually is. Every night it comes pouring down and my companion and I get absolutely soaked. Without a doubt, every part of our body is just absolutely drenched in water. But it was interesting, one day, as we were riding our bikes in the beating rain. I was pondering, and noticed quickly that I was smiling. I was looking around at the beautiful trees, and people, and really kind of just laughing about how funny of a situation I was in. I was getting drenched in a monsoon storm of Malaysia. Then I started to think about why I was so happy and I realized it's because of the simple things I know.
1. There is a God, and he loves ME. I know crazy to think about. There is the Supreme Being. There is definitely something out there, and He, is my Heavenly Father. Just like my earthly father, He wants to hear how my day is going, to offer me help when I stand in need of it, ect. This simple truth makes my day.
2. That Jesus Christ actually, like legit for me and you, came to the earth and suffered everything for us. He knows what it feels like to be stuck in the rain. He knows what it feels like to be dumped by a girlfriend, and probably the most relevant, He knows what it feels like when we say, "Ehh just one more cookie, or Ehhh just one more coke, I'll stop tomorrow." He knows those things perfectly, and He wants to use that knowledge to give us power.
I don't know about you, but as I think about those two things I am just so happy.
Then, this week we were able to spend a lot of time with our good friend, William. He took us out for P-Day to see some of the most amazing Buddhist temples I have seen. Then, on Thursday he took us for breakfast as he broke the news that he would be moving to Taiwan in just a couple of days. He has been the most amazing guy to teach and I know as he goes to Taiwan that he will only continue to grow in the gospel. Attached to this email is all the cool pictures from the week.
