Hello Everyone!

I hope that everyone has had an amazing week!!

I have actually been in Singapore for a whole week now, which has been really good. We came here for our Zone Conference and, in all honesty, it was really powerful and I had a lot of revelatory experiences. Actually, something that was really cool is during zone conference my mission president mentioned how it is important to keep the future in the back of our head so as we serve a mission we can receive revelation. Which then lead to a really cool experience. I messaged my mission president asking if I could spend time on a P-Day looking at colleges in Taiwan and China. Not that I'm making any decisions but just to keep it in the back of my head. As I did, he responded and we ended up having a really good meeting and council about life and all the things that I get to look forward to. As well as what a mission can do for your life. As I was able to go back to where we stay and ponder and pray I realized a lot of thing about a mission and the future.

A mission is like the basic training of life. If taken seriously, the mission is a boot camp for eternity. What do I mean? In my opinion as a missionary if you are a diligent and obedient missionary with a good 'why?' in mind, here are just a couple blessings you will get as a missionary.

1. You are set to be a successful person. You learn to set goals. Wake up early, get to bed late and accomplish great things. Not only do you grow but you learn and apply the principle line apon line as you use the atonement daily.

2. You are healthy. I've learned that through just a simple 30 minute work out plan you can get fit, and even start to look better physically. Look good. Feel good. Do good.

3. You learn a new language. If you're diligent and follow the brethren with just 30 minutes a day, and with good SYL when available, every missionary should develop a good conversational level of a foreign language. And if you don't speak a language, you learn how to be a good speaker and how to work with people. Skills that are essential in a world where social relationships are fading away.

4. You learn how to budget. We are all about to jump into a world where our lives could be so much easier if we take this sacred time and learn how to save and wisely use our money.

5. You learn to be spiritually strong! If you dive into your personal studies, spending just a little bit everyday, you will be guided for the rest of your life. I have learned as a missionary that scripture reading and praying isn't a check box. The purpose of those things is to help you. To guide you. To help you have a spiritual and guided life. I have fallen in love in collapsing in prayer and asking God some of the deepest questions, and getting advice for the future. Then I love opening the scriptures even more to feel our Heavenly Fathers love for me as he answers our prayers.

These are just to name a few of some of the traits and blessings you get from this spiritual boot camp. I didn't even begin to mention the blessing that come from leadership, and working with a companion which becomes many traits for being a father. Son. Leader. Boss. Husband And these are all just the side blessings of bringing souls unto Christ. The Holy and Incredible man. The Son of God who knows our every weakness. Our every sorrow and pain. He is our number one cheerleader and we get to introduce Him to millions of people through out our mission.

But besides all of the spiritually experiences and Revelation I have had this week it has been a week of culture and awesome experience. I loved being on the trains of Singapore and just talking with and saying hello to everyone!

On Sunday, it was really cool because I was able to go to the Singapore Second Ward. For any of you that don't know what that is, it is an all Chinese. And a big part of the people that attend that Ward are all from China or Taiwan. And holy cow I LOVE Chinese people. It seriously felt like they were all just my best friends. They all have the coolest stories of why they are there and its really cool to see the motivation and drive they have.

Then, lastly, its just been so cool to see the way that Singapore is. Singapore is full of many different cultures. They have Indians, Chinese, Malay, Japanese, Korean, American, Africans. Its just honestly people from all over. It has been cool to ride and be on the MRT with these people and ask their life stories. As I was talking to all these different people, it was interesting to me that across the world everyone just wants happiness.

I go back to Penang, Malaysia tomorrow and I will be back in my own area for missionary work which is so exciting. But for now I am in one of the coolest Zoos in the world enjoying my last day in Singapore.

I have such a strong testimony that we are all on a road to having happiness. To having eternal life. The coolest thing is everyone's road is different, and we all have different roads and paths to get there. But as we follow God and His commandments I think more times than not He will ask you, "What do you want? How do you want to spend your life? " Then we choose our path and work our way to eternal life.

I love you all so much.
